Welcome to Beer, Conversation, and Spirituality (BC&S)!

Are you looking for a place to belong? A place to to be known by name and respected for who you are? That’s what Beer, Conversation, and Spirituality is all about.

By believing that everything is spiritual BC&S sees everyone’s life story as being unique and of sacred worth. BC&S offers an unlimited welcome to everyone regardless of age, belief or no belief, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any of the other things that tend to separate us.

Each gathering presents a relevant topic for conversation. The learning begins as people share from their lived stories and experiences. By the end of the time, people leave a BC&S gathering feeling valued for who they are, inspired by the conversation, and having a greater appreciation for others.

We meet every third Thursday of the month (except for Aug & Dec), 7:00 – 9:00 PM.

• Topic “Courage & Vulnerability”

“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen. Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” Brene Brown

“To share your weakness is to make yourself vulnerable; To make yourself vulnerable is to show your strength.” Author unknown

“Courage is the ability to accept change from risks and success without changing who we are.” Megan Wilson, The Meaning of Courage Today

“Vulnerability is not about winning or losing. It’s having the courage to show up even when you can’t control the outcome.” – Brene Brown

“You get it [courage] by courageous acts. It’s like you learn to swim by swimming. You learn courage by couraging.” Brene Brown
