Bhakti Yoga (Yoga of Devotion): Pranayama, Meditation, Asanas, and Mantra Chanting.
This class will be offered on a monthly basis and each class will build upon the previous classes. Classes will typically be held on Sundays from 9-10am.
Each class will begin with the opening mantra chant and include guided instruction on pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and asanas (poses). We will move through the sun salutation poses with the accompanying Sanskrit mantras. Chanting will also be interspersed throughout class. In the initial class offerings, the chants will be from the Hindu tradition. I will be incorporating more Interfaith chants in upcoming classes.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat. Please also remove your shoes at the room entrance.
First-timers and drop-ins are welcome though ongoing practice brings transformative benefit in attaining more calmness of mind and flexibility and strength in the body.
There is no charge for the class as it is a gift from the Imagine Crossroads community to our local community. We do encourage that you offer an act of unseen service as a way to bless others and “pay it forward”.
All people are welcome without discrimination.
