Imagine having a resource you can call upon at a moment’s notice. Imagine this resource can help you regain a sense of calm during times of stress. Imagine this resource, like Dorothy’s red shoes, has been with you all along, ready to take you home.
This resource is your breath and it’s readily accessible to you right now.
How you breathe influences your physiological, emotional and mental well-being.
When we are born, we innately know how to breathe. But over time as we experience stress, we lose touch with this innate breath. It may become rapid, shallow and irregular.
However, you can re-learn how to breathe in a way that will support you during times of stress.
This class will include a short lecture followed by breath practices.
Please avoid eating for at least 2 hours before the practice.
WHAT TO BRING:
• Yoga mat
• Wear comfortable clothes
In the mental health field for over 30 years, Debra Dalby, LCSW, RYT 200 has been helping individuals and couples in addressing relationship issues, anxiety, depression and PTSD. Debra began her yoga practice over 20 years ago and enjoys sharing the practice with others.
