We will gather at Blueridge Summit Retreat from 10:30-2:00 pm this Sunday for the Cultivate Calm Workshop from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. Please follow the directions in this link:


The workshop is designed for practices to bring evidenced-based renewal in body, mind and soul.

We will enjoy outdoor gentle yoga, meditation in nature and a inspiring video on self-compassion by Dr. Rick Hanson (Foundations of Well Being).

There will be time to relax in the beauty of the lawn and deck as the long range weather forecast looks beautiful.

You will want to:

dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat

bring shoes for meditative walking

pack a lunch and bring a water bottle

bring bug spray bring a small notebook or journal

There is no charge for the retreat as it is a gift to nurture well being in mind, body and soul as a gift of love and service to the community and region liveimagining.com.

Cathy is a Hatha Integral Yoga instructor (RYT 200) and has studied mindfulness and meditation practices through her yoga training and the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course and has studied with Dr. Susan Carol Stone (UVA Mindfulness Center). She is a certified to teach mindful yoga to children and families (Budding Yogis). She also completed training at the Shalem Institute in leading contemplative small groups and retreats. She is leads workshops for Prosperity Eating Disorders and Wellness Clinic in Herndon and at her private studio near Bluemont, VA. Cathy is also a Virginia Master Naturalist and includes images from the natural world as part of each yoga practice.
