The high will be 50 degrees on Saturday! We will meet in the main parking lot just before 10:00 am and enjoy the beauty of this magnificent, wintertime forest and the peaceful Potomac River during this 2.5 hour forest soaking experience to bring renewal and peace in mind, body and soul.
The hike will be a 2 mile loop with level areas and some small hills.
The forest soaking will include moments with the incredible mature Sycamore and hardwood trees, the gently moving Potomac river, the sounds of silence, cascading small creeks and wildlife along the pathway. We will eat our packed lunch or snack as part of the experience together.
Check out this brief video explaining the calming and evidenced-based benefits of forest soaking
If you have done the Balls Bluff Forest Soaking Hike before you know how calming it is to walk beside this majestic river. We will take a new path on the Potomac Heritage Trail and will walk on the bluff just above the river.
Please bring plenty of water, a packed lunch or snack and bug spray.
