Self-compassion is vital to our overall wellbeing. Learning how being kind to oneself is medically proven to reduce stress and anxiety levels. With some practice anyone can learn and greatly benefit from offering oneself self-compassion.
Join us in the experience of warm, welcoming community as we explore the benefits and importance of Self-Compassion. Also learn some simple practices that will bring more calmness and joy to the everyday stresses of life.
Based on the work of Kristen Neff and Christopher Germer, this journey will include:
- The three pillars to Self-Compassion
- The difference between Self Compassion and Self Criticism
- Acceptance vs. resistance
- How Savoring the “good” through gratitude and self-appreciation enhances the quality of our life
- How to manage your Inner Critic and more
This Four-Week Course includes a combination of learning, sharing, and developing resources and practices to enhance Self Compassion.
Because each session builds on the previous session, this series consists of four consecutive weeks. Therefore, the group will be limited to those who register for all four sessions.
In the mental health field for over 30 years, Debra Dalby, LCSW, RYT 200 has been helping individuals and couples in addressing relationship issues, anxiety, depression and PTSD. Debra began her yoga practice over 20 years ago and enjoys sharing the practice with others.
Dave has been meditating for over 20 years and has witnessed the transforming impact that these practices have had on his professional and personal life. He believes in the importance of supportive community to encourage ongoing participation and growth in mindful meditation.
