***Yes… this is a repeat of the event I’m running on Monday night.***

Join us for “half price gourmet burgers” at Bungalow Lakehouse(46116 Lake Center Plaza Sterling, VA 20165) (https://www.bungalowlakehouse.com/). Then after we’re finished eating, we’ll head over to Algonkian Regional Park and explore the ANP Sanctuary trail at night. We’ll hike out to the Sanctuary Trail at night under an almost full moon and enjoy the unusual sights and sounds of the forest at night.

Option: If you want, you can skip the burgers (though that would be no fun:-) and meet us at 8:30PM at the small picnic pavilion back behind the Potomac Lakes Sportsplex. The Sportsplex is located on your right just before you enter Algonkian. The picnic pavilion is a small free standing shelter about a hundred yards past the Sportsplex maintenance building which also has a picnic bench sitting out front.

ABOUT THE EVENT HOST:

Ron has been a lover of nature and an outdoor enthusiast for the last few decades and back in 2009, left an 18 year career in information technology so he could pursue his dreams and passions in nature and the outdoors on a full time basis. Currently, he works as a Sr. Park Ranger for NOVAParks at Algonkian Regional Park. In addition to his day to day duties, he runs all of the parks guided kayak tours and also started the Algonkian Nature Preserve which is a long term labor of love of his. You can read more about the ANP by going to http://potomactrail.org scrolling down a little ways and clicking the graphic of a little girl looking through a magnifying glass.
