Crossroads Imagine Responds to Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort
Hurricane Relief Buckets – Invite friends and neighbors to co-sponsor a bucket (cleaning supplies and bucket cost about $51.00)
In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, you may feel called to respond with this wonderful project to get a semi-load of relief buckets for volunteer first responders. Many thanks to Rick Butland for purchasing 20 Lowe’s 5 gallon paint buckets to kickoff our Imagine Service Project!
These buckets will be available at Crossroads in the front Lobby if you want to pick one up and fill it and return it with the supplies below on these days and times:
a. Office hours – 10:00-4:00 pm this week
b. Restorative Yoga on Monday, September 11 7:00-8:15
c. Serenity Hatha Yoga on Tuesday, September 12 – 7:30-8:45 pm
d. Lobby – Sunday, September 17 – 8:00 am-1:00 pm
“I served on three Katrina relief teams and used every item in this bucket…incredibly valuable for people cleaning up and renovating.” Cathy Norman
There is no pressure to donate a bucket but only an opportunity to share an act of service if you are able.
Crossroads will be taking the buckets to a semi-truck in Alexandria on Sunday, September 17. The truck will take these to an UMCOR distribution center in the Houston area. Click here to watch the video on supplies and how to assemble the Relief Bucket.

Volunteer – Once the damage has been assessed and teams are requested, we will be forming service teams to aid the areas affected. We will be posting opportunities to serve on Hurricane Relief Teams on Meetup.
