Join our Integral Yoga Hatha class taught by Jami Obermayer, PhD, every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Please bring a yoga mat and light blanket (extras are available).
This class will focus on pranayama (breathing) and asanas (poses) to bring attentive awareness to the mind-body connection. Each class will end with a guided Yoga Nidra (Deep Relaxation) practice designed for greater inner peace, calmness, and stress reduction.
Jami Obermayer is a meditation and yoga instructor with a Ph.D. in Sociology from American University, in D.C. and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Counseling. Additionally, she has conducted NIH-funded research on mindfulness-based practices applied to health behavior interventions and has completed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction training. Jami specializes in teaching yoga, meditation, and mindfulness-based practices for clients with trauma and/or anxiety/depression. She currently teaches both group-based classes and private-sessions for adults and children in the greater DC area.
