Mindful Sunday Morning is offered on the first Sunday of each month throughout the year at the Blueridge Summit Retreat Studio on Mt. Weather near Bluemont and the Appalachian Trail.
During our time together we will learn about and experience mindfulness practices, walk the mediative paths on the 11.5 acres and engage in some simple Hatha Yoga practices – breath and stretching (no mat needed) to quiet the body and mind and nurture the soul.
There is also a brief science-based nature presentation to help us be more aware and mindful of what flora and fauna we are seeing in every season of the year.
The walking trail offers contemplative, quiet areas with benches for sitting and observing the beauty of the mountain.
Light refreshments (mindful eating) and community conversation are important elements of every gathering.
