Mindfulness Based Integral Yoga is a blend of the ancient wisdom of traditional Hatha Yoga and current Mindfulness based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices, including the latest research in mind-body science and therapies.
The six-week class is focused on exploration of moment by moment experience including kindness to oneself as we experience the breathing, postures, meditation and deep relaxation together.

This class will be limited to 15 people so that the instructor can give appropriate attention to each student participating. Please do not sign up if you cannot attend 90% of the classes as the benefits are experienced in an ongoing practice. Please bring your own mat, large towel or small blanket and a yoga strap.
The class and all Imagine offerings are a free gift to the community with the hope that participants will be experiencing personal transformation and offer an act of service as a way to pay it forward…changing the world on person, family and community at a time.
Cathy is a Hatha Integral Yoga instructor (RYT 200) and has studied mindfulness and meditation practices through her yoga training and the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course and has studied with Dr. Susan Carol Stone (UVA Mindfulness Center). She is a certified to teach mindful yoga to children and families (Budding Yogis). She also completed training at the Shalem Institute in leading contemplative small groups and retreats. She is currently teaching Hatha Integral Yoga at Prosperity Eating Disorders and Wellness Clinic in Herndon and at her private studio near Bluemont, VA. Cathy is also a Virginia Master Naturalist and includes images from the natural world as part of each yoga practice.
