Join our Weekly Spiritual Gathering taught by Jami Obermayer, PhD, a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200), this Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
We will open our class by sharing our experiences in these challenging times. This class will then focus on pranayama (breathing) and meditation to bring attentive awareness to the mind-body connection.
Jami Obermayer is a meditation and yoga instructor (RYT-200) with a Ph.D. in Sociology from American University, in D.C. and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Counseling. Additionally, she has conducted NIH-funded research on mindfulness-based practices applied to health behavior interventions and has completed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction training. Jami specializes in teaching yoga, meditation, and mindfulness-based practices for clients with trauma and/or anxiety/depression. She currently teaches both group-based classes and private-sessions for adults and children in the greater DC area.
