Join us for a wonderful hike through pastures, fields and hillsides at Lost Mountain, in Upperville, VA. Lost Mountain is on the east side of Sky Meadow State Park. https://gohikevirginia.com/lost-mountain-trail/ THE TRAIL – 2pm Meet us above the parking area at the trailhead signs. We’ll take the trail loop to the left (clockwise). The lower trails pass through rolling fields and include a stream crossing, out and back. We will traverse the hillside to the overlook (photo) for a rest, snacks, and a silent meditation of Vitamin D restoration in the sun. We’ll then continue on the trail, down the slope back through the meadows and pastures. Distance is 3 miles. Footwear – The trails can be wet or muddy and there is a stream that we will cross, twice. Trekking Poles – Optional, but can come in handy WATER/SNACKS Carry 16oz water and bring an energy snack. You deserve it! DIRECTIONS – 45 mins from Leesburg or from Chantilly If coming through Middleburg, follow Rt 50W. Turn left onto Rt 17S. Follow Rt17S for 3/4 mile, then turn LEFT at Lost Mountain Trail entrance. Lost Mountain Park is on the east side of Rt 17, it is not within the main entrance to Sky Meadow State Park. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Current+Location/38.99037,-77.94568 PARKING $10 There is an unmanned parking kiosk near the entrance. Have exact change to drop into an envelope at the kiosk; place the parking stub on your dash. Car parking spaces are at or before the barn. Upper level parking is reserved for horse trailers. Park Rangers might ticket if you do not pay for parking. LIABILITY RELEASE: With my RSVP, I hereby stipulate that I am physically sound to participate in this event. I authorize Imagine Well Being and Let’s Take a Hike guides and instructors to call 911 in the event that I appear to require emergency medical care, and I assume responsibility for all associated costs. I have carefully read this agreement and understand its contents. I agree that it is a complete release of liability for any injuries or damage that I may sustain due to Imagine or Let’s Take a Hike classes, gatherings, and workshops.
