Our sister group, “SEEKERS Anonymous – DC Metro”, will be meeting again on Monday, February 10, for Week 12 of the “Peeling the Cosmic Onion: A Journey of Spiritual Transformation” series! The topic will be “The Self”.

At our last meetup, Larry Branch gave us an overview of the teachings of Advaita, or Non-Duality, sharing videos from such luminaries as Peter Russell & Rupert Spira. The insights gleaned uncovered a new way of viewing the phenomenon of Consciousness, as the primary “substance” of the Universe. This notion turns the conventional materialistic worldview on its head, suggesting that matter arises from Consciousness, rather than Consciousness arising from matter.

Continuing in the same vein, we will now approach our own Cosmic Origins from a completely different perspective, that of the Self. Who are we, truly, and how do we engage in a world derived entirely from Conscious experience? Our next meetup will feature a different format than usual. Together, we will watch a documentary film, “All is Self”, by Conscious Collective (https://conscious-collective.com). It will be broken into sections, with dedicated time for discussion in between the sections. Be forewarned: this is an experimental format; we are trying out some new things in 2020, so we will be very interested in your feedback and whether you’d be interested in watching & discussing more long-format videos in the future.

Please consider joining us at Ridgetop Coffee & Tea in Sterling, starting at 7:00pm on Monday, February 10, for a fascinating journey of Self examination!

Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you on the 10th!
