Quiet your mind, release your stress, and rest in your internal peace with this 90-minute meditation practice. In this practice, we will transition from seated to walking meditation, providing a sustainable level of comfort in the body that enables a longer meditation time. The workshop will include a brief description before the practice begins and end with time for internal reflection. Please bring your own yoga mat and a meditation cushion if you have one. Chairs also will be provided for those who wish to sit in a chair during the seated portions of the meditation.
About Our Guest Instructor:
“Leena discovered yoga in 2009 when her college roommate and yoga instructor visited her and encouraged her to try yoga. After just one private lesson in her basement, Leena knew she had discovered something that was going to help her regain strength and flexibility that she had lost to many years of illness from rheumatoid arthritis. Little did she know then that yoga also was going to provide a pathway for a spiritual journey that continues to lead her to places of unlimited welcome and unconditional grace. After sampling many classes in varying styles of yoga, Leena found her home in the heated power vinyasa studio. It was there that she reconnected with her physical well-being and regained a sense of inner strength and peace. After 4 years of practicing heated vinyasa , Leena pursued her 200-hour teaching certification with Rolf Gates and began teaching in 2014. Not wanting to lose momentum in her journey, Leena immediately began and completed her next 300-hour training with Rolf Gates, and simultaneously completed a Yin-yoga teacher certification with Melissa Christensen. When she’s not teaching or on her mat, you can find Leena with her husband and twin teenage boys, managing her son’s travel soccer team and leading them through a pre-game stretch, where she also enjoys sharing her passion for yoga with young athletes.”
