Serenity Hatha Yoga for Holiday Stress Reduction will be a 3 session class offered on December 1, 8, 15 from 7:30-8:30 pm. The last class is December 22 in this series. We will begin with a brief mindfulness teaching moment and extend our pranayama (breathing practice) and yoga nidra (deep relaxation) to include the extra 15 minutes this session
There is no charge for the class as it is a gift from the Crossroads community to our local community. We do encourage that you offer an act of unseen service as a way to bless others and “pay it forward”.
This class will include postures, breath work and meditation with a focus on overall wellness and wholeness of body, mind and spirit. It is a gentle practice with a focus on stress reduction that will benefit beginners and advanced yoga practitioners. The class has been designed with specific, gentle postures and breathing exercises that are now clinically recognized in improving over health and wellness.
The Serenity Prayer/intention is offered each week at the beginning of the yoga practice as a symbol of letting go of those things we cannot control. “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”
All people are welcome without discrimination.
