We will gather to celebrate Valentine’s Day in the beauty of nature with a focus on mindful self-compassion. We will gather on Sunday from 10:30-2:00 pm for a combination of mindful practices, hiking and yoga in the wintertime beauty of Mt. Weather including a covered dish meal to share with others.
We are asking that everyone bring a covered dish, salad or drinks to share with others (prep for 4-6) for our lunchtime.
We will meet in the Imagine Studio and do a series of hikes on a half mile loop trail around the property. Please visit blueridgesummitretreats.org to view the Imagine Studio and property.
We will do a 60 minute Hatha practice and a series of half mile hikes ending with a unique Mindful 5 Sense Walk in Nature. Please bring a yoga mat, a large towel or small blanket and wear comfortable clothing. Also bring a warm coat, gloves and a hat and boots appropriate for snow. The trail is rocky and moderately steep in places.
We will conclude our time with a short inspirational video on self-compassion from the widely read neuropsychologist, Rick Hanson. There is no charge for this gathering as we trust that participants will share an act of service as a way to “pay it forward” as well as integrating a bit more calmness and clarity in our daily living and relationships.
